Why Personalisation is the Key to Maximising Attendee Engagement
Live events remain a vitally important marketing channel for many organisations, and the evolution of technology is beginning to shake-up tired event formats.
However, new research conducted by Brand Republic for event technology company Cvent suggests that while apps are increasingly prevalent at conferences and events, relatively few organisers are using them to engage fully with delegates. Only a small proportion of events organisers have so far spotted the potential to move beyond using apps as online equivalents of printed show guides to making full use of the networking or location-based capabilities that give attendees a richer event experience.
The research was conducted among more than 200 events and marketing professionals working in a wide range of commercial environments - from small companies of fewer than 10 employees up to organisations with more than 1,000 workers. More than half of respondents are responsible for at least half a dozen events each year with more than 150 attendees.
