We hosted our annual UK & Ireland Conference, mainly around Costa Adeje. The infrastructure is established and it offers a variety of venues and a mild climate. Tenerife is key for our business, so we were keen to have our customer-facing colleagues experience the island.
What did you do there?
We combined business sessions, training and fun. It's the one time of year we have these people together, so the highlight is our Gala Awards Night. We adopted a Festive Ball theme and must have bought every available Christmas tree on the island.
Which hotels and venues did you use?
We used the Magma Conference Centre for the business sessions and the ball. For our opening ceremony and second night entertainment, we chose the Siam Park Water Park and Castillo San Miguel. We stayed in hotels that feature highly in our programme - Sentido San Blas, Iberostar Gran Anthelia and the Costa Adeje Gran.
What are your top tips?
Make the most of what the island has to offer. Why spend money to create an event when there is probably something already there that will suit your needs? Tenerife is served well by low-cost airlines, so you can fly in and out regularly during your planning at very little cost.
