GIBTM unaffected by sheikh's death

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority business tourism/MICE manager Gillian Taylor said his death would not affect the show, and added: "The last day is always quieter".

GIBTM's gala evening event took place last night, although entertainment was dropped as a mark of respect.

The event, which was expected to attract 800 GIBTM guests, was notably subdued as many local delegates did not attend.
