The property is located in the western city of Kutahya's centre, within walking distance of the shopping and business district. It offers 121 rooms, the Sumac Grill restaurant and bar and a fitness centre.

Event space includes five meeting rooms, of which four can be combined to offer capacity for 245 delegates.

Hilton Garden Inn global head Adrian Kurre said: "As a relative newcomer to Europe, Hilton Garden Inn has already proven very popular to business travellers and we're very confident it will be a big success in Turkey."

Hilton Worldwide announced it would be doubling its number of hotels across Turkey by the end of 2011 earlier this year. New properties will be located in Sanliurfa, Konya, Mardin, Istanbul Bostanci, Diyarbakir, Manisa, Bursa, Golden Horn, Corlu and Corum.

The brand's European expansion also includes properties in Germany, Italy, Russia and the UK, and it will expand into Poland in 2010.
