Marketers rate event-marketing most effective, survey finds

Marketing leaders in the EMEA region and the US rate event-marketing as the most effective tool for developing relationships, a George P Johnson survey has found.

George P Johnson senior account director Sue Potton said in a seminar on event trends at the MPI European educational conference in Malaga this morning that a survey of several hundred marketing professionals rated event marketing highly.

40% of respondents rated event marketing as the most effective tool for accelerating and deepening relationships, putting it ahead of all other marketing channels.

More than 90% of respondents said that face-to-face events were the number one tool for persuading target audiences.

"This is great news for the event industry that people still do want to meet face to face," said Potton.
