Forum for the Future founder Jonathon Porritt is among the confirmed speakers at the event, which will focus on extending knowledge, from the basic - such as switching the lights off - to more in-depth topics.

Speakers and panels will cover a range of issues such as transport, energy, waste, procurement, BS8901 and social responsibility.

London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games' (Locog) Phil Cumming and Amanda Kiely are also among the confirmed speakers, and they will address how sustainable procurement has affected planning for the Olympics.

The event will use social media, with delegates invited to join the Linked In group to submit questions in advance, follow news on Twitter and suggest content to be covered in the sessions.
