The two-day event, taking place on 27-28 April, will see 400 delegates from the local clinical audit community attend and will also include the 2010 Clinical Audit Awards.

The not-for-profit body's 2010 event remit also includes two focus group events as HQIP increases its focus on patient engagement in the clinical audit process. Both of the half-day events will host 40 clinicians, audit professionals and patient group representatives with the first taking place on 18 February at The Queens Hotel Leeds on 18 February and the second at London’s Wellcome Collection on 22 February.

The focus group events will also include the launch of HQIP’s Patient and Public Engagement in Clinical Audit publication. HQIP chief executive Robin Burgess commented: "The publication of our comprehensive guide to PPE in audit, backed by the focus group events in February, provides everyone involved in clinical audit with an excellent platform to truly engage patients and the public."
