The new trust will be called BH Live and will cover leisure, international venues and events business.

It will be run by an independent board of eleven trustees, and is currently looking for non-executive board members to work with the executive management team.

BIC and Pavilion managing director Peter Gunn said: "The benefits of establishing the not-for-profit organisation are significant. It also means we are working with a range of complimentary venues; the expertise and variety of services for customers under the new trust will only increase."

The seven venues are currently operated by Bournemouth Borough Council, which will continue to own the buildings and will be represented on the board of trustees.

The closing date for applications is 22 January.
