The centre also plans to open additional bars and restaurants, and new reception and public concourse areas.
The developments are part of a £250m plan for the Telford area, which will create a new convention quarter around the centre.
The International Centre is owned by the Southwater Event Group and currently offers 11,300sqm of event space and two on-site hotels.
Southwater Event Group chief executive Tom Gray said: "These are extremely exciting plans that are essential in order for us to accommodate the growing demand for our venue. Our joint partnership with the local authority, Telford & Wrekin Council, will help to ensure that our plans for the venue and its plans for the wider Telford area will create a more attractive destination for business tourism."
