The group decided to consolidate its online conferencing businesses under the umbrella brand of Conferences Group. It has additionally expanded its offer by strengthening ties with Cheshire-based team-building agency G3, with which it formed a partnership last year.

As a result of the expansion, Conferences Group has moved to new premises in Manchester, which, at 202sqm, are twice the size of its former office.  The group expects to further add to its 28-strong workforce this year.

Conferences Group managing director Simon Thompson said that event management had been added to the business portfolio after requests from venue-finding clients seeking a complete service.

"The added services mean we can now cater for more of our clients' needs and provides a ‘four services under one roof' offering," he added.

"The larger office space is much better suited to our growing team. 2009 was an excellent year for us and we foresee 2010 being even better."
