Meier, formerly managing director of Leading Group Sales - the C&I arm of Leading Hotels of the World, has launched event management and group travel agency the Life In Motion Group.
As managing director of the company, Meier is based in the New York office, which has employed an account manager and is recruiting an event manager.
Sabrina Aziz, who formerly managed Leading Hotels of the World's London-based group sales team, has been recruited to the post of account manager and is heading up the agency's London office in Farringdon.
The agency has employed one event manager for the London office, which will officially launch in February, and plans to recruit a second.
Aziz said the Life in Motion Group would focus on creating awareness of the agency among potential corporate clients in its first year, and offer full event management, venue-finding and group ticketing and travel services.
"We will focus on small to medium-sized businesses while still supporting the really big companies," she said. "At the moment most of our business will be incentives, conferences and corporate meetings."
Aziz declined to name the agency's first clients but said it had won business with financial, automotive, media and sports management companies.
