The event aimed to source an environmentally and eco friendly venue for 120 staff for a company conference and evening event.

It included an 'our business rocks' theme and featured a guide to green events, locally sourced food and charity donations.

The event was praised for being delivered on the same budget as previous years despite having a 15% higher head count.

World Events sales and marketing director Mark Saxby accepted the award, which was presented by Deeper Blue founding director Jeremy Garbett and RTE chair (global meetings and events portfolio) Vanessa Cotton.

Adelaide Convention Centre was highly commended in the category for its commitment to minimising its environmental footprint.

Vok Dams Gruppe also picked up an award, winning the best product launch category for its Skoda event.
