Rebecca Lim, who was formerly general manager of Jack Morton Worldwide's China office, has been recruited to spearhead the new operation.
World Events group executive chairman Graham Keene said: "We are extremely pleased to continue our global development by establishing a presence in Asia. The Asian market is going to be increasingly important in the years ahead and it is vital we are able to take advantage of the growing opportunity."
He added that a number of projects in the region were already under discussion with potential clients.
Lim, who spent five years with Suntec Singapore before joining Jack Morton and Saatchi & Saatchi, said: "I have the back-up of a large team who will support me in the development of the business here."
