Mercedes-Benz World to open hotel by March 2010

Mercedes-Benz World will feature an on-site hotel from March 2010 run by Hilwood Resorts.

The hotel group, whose portfolio includes incentive-favourite Bovey Castle, has confirmed the opening of the 120-room property at the driving experience centre.

Brooklands Hotel is being built on the historic Brooklands race track in Surrey, with part of the original circuit marked in granite in its reception area.

The hotel, which is described as a "contemporary design statement", will offer a spa, outdoor terrace and eight meeting rooms, the largest of which will accommodate up to 170.

The other rooms have capacity for between 20 and 40 delegates theatre-style.

Hilwood believes the close proximity of the Mercedes-Benz experience centre and Brooklands Museum, plus local attractions such as Thorpe Park and Sandown Park, will make the hotel an attractive incentive destination.
