The company says the increase is the result of a partnership it established in August with online business booking service ABC Connection. The group says it also benefited from having eight UK properties accepted as members of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) last month.
Park Plaza Hotels director of sales and revenue UK Manju Goel said: "ABC Connection has helped streamline turn-around time for enquiries and assisted our dedicated meetings and events sales team."
He added: "The MIA is the leading association for the meetings industry and we're looking forward to working with the MIA to continue growing our meetings and events business."
Park Plaza operates more than 35 properties in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including five hotels in London. Its future development plans include the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and the Park Plaza Nuremberg, both of which are due to open next year.
