ITM dinner attracts £1bn corporate spenders

Corporate event buyers from Deloitte, BBC, BP, Barclays and HSBC were among the guests at the first chairman's dinner held by the Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM).

They were among ten corporate buyers at the dinner with an estimated combined travel spend of £1bn.

The networking event took place at the Radisson Mayfair, London, and is anticipated to become an annual fixture.

Deloitte procurement manager Yvette Rudge said: "It was a really different experience and one that I thought was organised very well. The various elements of the dinner created some great discussion openers."

The dinner was sponsored by conference and venue-finding agency Inntel.

Inntel managing director Douglas O'Neill said: "We were very pleased to support this event and applaud the ITM for holding it. When you put corporate buyers of this magnitude together with suppliers, there are valuable networking opportunities."
