Grass Root's former venue-sourcing manager, Christopher Lind, has been promoted to the post of congress housing manager, with a remit to lead the new team.

The congress housing team will purchase accommodation and meeting space at international congresses on behalf of Grass Roots' healthcare clients.

Grass Roots projects that it will purchase accommodation for delegates at more than 110 congresses throughout the world in the next year. Its clients spend an estimated £36m annually and it is increasing by 20% a year.

"We already negotiate hard to reduce costs and cancellation fees for our clients, but as congress accommodation purchasing is such a specific task, having a dedicated team will ensure we deliver these benefits to our clients across our 16 international locations," said Lind.
