Golden Bridge Events has offices in Beijing and London, and will manage a range of events for UK and Chinese clients in both countries.

The agency has also been appointed by China Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) as its sole partner in Europe.

Golden Bridge Events will operate CIPA's European office and create a Chinese business platform in the UK to handle trade events in Europe and to introduce potential European investors to China.

China Holidays Group managing director Stephanie Cheng said: "The Chinese Government is now encouraging private and part-owned government companies to invest overseas. We have seen a significant increase in interest from Chinese companies looking to invest in the UK, as well as UK development agencies hoping to attract them. We believe that now is the right time to launch Golden Bridge Events, as business-to-business events offer an invaluable platform for Chinese-owned companies, in both the UK and China, to make inroads into the UK."

The key sectors that are attracting the greatest inward investment from China include finance, environmental issues, water-quality and usage, power-generation, telecoms, aircraft construction, the motor industry and animation.
