C&IT supports Hornby's England 2018 campaign

England 2018's accommodation and hospitality consultant David Hornby uses his blog to call on on C&IT readers to back the England's 2018 World Cup bid

England 2018's accommodation and hospitality consultant and former commercial director of Visit London, David Hornby is calling on C&IT readers to back the England 2018 bid.

The campaign to bring the Fifa World Cup to this country will run until next Spring and Hornby is encouraging readers to back the bid (add England 2018 bid link) and recognise the impact it will have on the events and hospitality industry.

Hornby will be blogging exclusively on www.citmagazine.com and added: "Since taking up my new post, I've seen first-hand how cities and communities are uniting together in their desire to bring the biggest event in the world to England in 2018.

"My role is to ensure our destination cities exceed Fifa's expectations in terms of warmth of welcome, unique hospitality and innovative hotel and venue solutions. Venues and hotel groups are vital to the success of England's 2018 bid, as too is the support of our country's collective events and hospitality industry."
