Zenker has taken up the newly created post of technical director at WRG Creative Communications and will work across the agency's offices in Manchester, High Wycombe and Doha.

"My main responsibility at WRG will be to work closely with our internal teams and suppliers to ensure our clients have access to the latest in technical knowledge, quality and capability," said Zenker.

Zenker has previously worked on the 2009 G20 Summit and the Commonwealth Heads of Government meetings in Edinburgh.

WRG managing director Barry Day said: "I am delighted that, at a time when most companies are cutting back on this resource, we are in a position to invest in somebody as talented and respected as Cliff. His appointment is a logical progression for WRG Live Communications."
