Schroders: bolsters sustainable events

The asset management company's London-based events manager Viki Stapleton said that Schroders was using Seventeen Events' online sustainability tool, eventberry.

Schroders first used eventberry at the Schroders Investment Conference at the Balmoral in Edinburgh on 18 June.

It plans to use the tool next at its annual conference for its institutional business at the Park Lane Hotel in London on 30 September.

Stapleton said eventberry provided a clear and easy way of documenting event data and produced a report needed to comply with BS8901.

"Events are one of the most high profile activities that companies do and they have an impact on the environment," she said. "Ensuring events are as sustainable as possible is one way that big corporates can make a positive difference. Examining sustainability benefits the environment and it also saves companies money."
