The venue has been chosen by The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) to host over 1,500 guests for its annual conference in 2010.

NCRI scientific events manager Sharon Vanloo said: "We have been looking for something fresh for some time now, both in terms of venue and destination.  ACC Liverpool is one of the newest convention centres in the UK and also one of the few UK-based convention centres that can accommodate our event under one roof."

The European College of Sport Science (ECSS) has chosen to hold its 16th annual three-day congress at the venue in July 2011, an event expected to attract around 2,500 delegates to Liverpool.

And finally, ACC Liverpool will also host an event for the Roald Dahl Haemostasis and Thrombosis Centre, part of Royal Liverpool University Hospital in July 2012.
