Grass Roots' Graham Burt to retire

Grass Roots has announced that head of business development Graham Burt is retiring after 20 years with the company.

Burt joined Grass Roots (formerly Maritz) in 1989 following several years running his own agency and has held roles including account director, divisional director of Grass Roots Communications and general manager of Grass Roots Loyalty Marketing.

Grass Roots global head of events Nick Bender says: "Graham will be sadly missed by myself and my fellow directors. The past couple of years have seen many changes within the company and his support and input have been invaluable to me. I am delighted that he will be continuing to work with us on an ad-hoc consultancy basis and wish him many happy years enjoying his retirement."

Burt adds: "I will be very sad to leave Grass Roots where I have spent some of the most enjoyable and challenging years of my career.  I will still be in regular touch with the business but am looking forward to having a little more time to dedicate to travel, sailing and my family."
