Fresh director Nick Porter Fresh Group's pre-tax profits for the six months to the end of March were £223,000, £50,000 above its target. It is on track to make a pre-tax profit of £500,000 for the full-year. The agency has hired ten staff on the back of the new business.

Porter said cash and carry firm Makro had appointed the agency to run an event at Reebok Stadium for 600 staff and clients.

Makro head of PR and internal communications Simon Finch said: "Fresh Group is producing a variety of events for us including an upcoming two-day customer and staff showcase."

Avon has also appointed Fresh Group to run a conference for 1,200 managers and sales reps in August, and it is also organising an event for Matalan later in the year.

The agency also ran a event for M&S as part of its 125th anniversary at Old Billingsgate Market in June.
