Turkey's Swissôtel Grand Efes plans to triple the number of corporate events it holds over the coming year.

The property, which has hosted more than 200 corporate events since opening a year ago, aims to hold 600 more over the next 12 months, according to Swissôtel area director of marketing Basak Pelister Sakir.

British American Tobacco, Bayer, Pfizer, Roche, Eli Lilly, Astrazeneca and Philip Morris are among corporate clients who have held events at the property.

Sakir said: "We will continue to focus on MICE this year. We will also promote the destination's incentive offering for pre- and post-conference activities."

Swissôtel Grand Efes facts:

-    The five-star hotel overlooks the Kordon Promenade on the Aegean coast
-    It offers 402 rooms, a spa, several restaurants and bars
-    The hotel's Grand Efes Convention Centre occupies 7,299sqm and includes 19 meeting rooms
