Australia's Darwin Convention Centre confirms 33 conventions for 2009

Australia's Darwin Convention Centre has confirmed it will be running 33 conventions attracting 12,000 delegates this year.

Recent events held at the venue included the Australian & New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science Annual Scientific Meeting, managed by Festival City Conventions.
 
Festival City Conventions director and conference manager Elisabeth Eaton said: "The Darwin Convention Centre staff were helpful, friendly and interacted well with the delegates. The food was fresh and delicious, and the AV team was excellent."

Asgard Wealth Solutions' annual Securitor Conference attracted 492 financial planners to the city.
 
Asgard's event specialist (marketing) Antoinette Carlino said: "The service levels were exceptionally high and everyone worked together as a team."
