Imagination board director Richard Foulkes has been named as president-elect of the International Special Event Society (ISES).

Foulkes takes on the role for the UK Chapter for the 2009-2010 term in July.

He will work with Zanine Adams during her presidency, prior to stepping into the lead role in July 2010.

Foulkes has worked at Imagination for more than 25 years and has been a board member for the last ten years.

He said: "I plan to look to other leaders in the events industry to support ISES so as to ensure this exciting industry is recognised at government level and continues to attract and educate the new talent that will be required in the run up to 2012."

Adams said: "Richard's experience and foresight will be an incredible asset to the future development of the association."
