Last night's Beyond Certainty after-show party attracted 270 guests despite the last-minute cancellation of the PA industry show Crème.

The event at Kensington Roof Gardens was supposed to be held on the last day of the trade show, which was postponed until November due to the recession.

Beyond Certainty director Elias Nicolas said: "The idea was to invite existing clients and potential new clients we met at the show. The cancellation of Crème meant our focus changed to our existing clients and made it a more relaxed event with more entertainment."

Guests were treated to entertainment from the Globe Girls and a range of raffle prizes were on offer.

The agency hopes the event will boost the company's C&I bookings from PAs. This currently makes up around 30% of its total business.

"We had a huge range of industries attending last night and lots of the PAs book conferences, meetings and incentives, so we are looking to pick up more work," said Nicolas. "We have had C&I enquiries from those attending last night already. We are going to focus on PAs in the coming years and would hope to grow that business by 10-15% year-on-year."
