The Moving Venue Caterers has boosted sales by 19% in the first quarter of the year following a shift in its marketing strategy.

The London-based caterer has also reported an 11% in forward bookings confirmed for the period.

Director Matthew Quarendon attributed the growth to the company placing greater focus on developing relationships with venues.

"The last quarter of 2008 was the toughest our industry has faced in a long time," said Quarendon. "With our existing sales and marketing tactics becoming redundant, we recognised the need to change our approach to win new business in order to grow."

The China Britain Business Council dinner and the after-premiere for the film ‘Young Victoria', which attracted Keira Knightly, Sarah Duchess of York and Emily Blunt are among the events that the Moving Venues Caterers has worked on recently.
