Las Vegas is increasing its focus on the UK C&I market as it looks to broaden its market reach during the recession.
Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority took a group of UK event planners out to the city in March to showcase its C&I offering.
This follows the authority's appointment of Hills Balfour Synergy as its UK representation agency last summer, which has seen an increase in the destination's C&I marketing activity.
Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority Mice account director Nicola Chater said: "Now is the time for UK groups to consider Las Vegas as the ultimate C&I destination. There are some great hotel deals to be negotiated and the quality of venues, service, food and entertainment are second to none. Groups can fly direct, yet this vibrant city is still a relatively untapped market for UK C&I business."
The authority aims to increase the number of international visitors to Las Vegas from the 4.7 million recorded in 2007 to 6.2 million by the end of 2010.
