Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London is set to open early 2010 with 1,021 rooms and 35 meeting spaces.
The hotel will also offer a column-free ballroom with capacity for 1,400 delegates and a spa and fitness suite.
Park Plaza Hotels brand marketing manager Julia Stone said the hotel would primarily target the pharmaceuticals market for C&I events.
"We already have strong links with the pharmaceutical market so we will target that market," she said.
Stone added that the hotel was also being promoted to the US association market.
Marketing activity to the events sector will include fam trips when the hotel has opened.
