Eventia revealed its new brand identity today at the International Confex exhibition at Earls Court in London.
It includes a new logo and strapline: ‘the voice for the events industry', previously ‘the voice of the events industry'.
Eventia CEO Izania Downie said that while Eventia already has a strong brand, it needs to be more authoritative.
"We must be very proactive in conveying the importance of events to other industry sectors, and we see the new identity as a key component in representing our industry and in positioning Eventia to a number of key new audiences," she commented.
"There also needs to be more research conducted to understand the buyers issues and market trends and a greater range of education & training to support our members. The new brand identity is designed to support this higher profile and is not a change of strategy for Eventia but a change of emphasis."
