Foreign & Commonwealth Office names Excel London for economic summit

April event brings together world leaders

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office announced today that it will host its summit in April 2009 at Excel London.

The London Summit will bring together leaders of the world's advanced and emerging economies, including the G20, and representatives of international financial institutions, under the brief of working "cooperatively to restore stability and stimulate global economic growth".

"This is fantastic news for Excel and London," said Excel managing director David Pegler. "The selection of Excel as the venue for the London Summit is testament to our international standing as a premier meeting and events destination."
