Iceland Foods appoints Expotel to manage C&I business

Retailer Iceland names agency as it looks to "drive savings"

Expotel has been appointed to manage the hotel and conference business for retailer Iceland Foods, following a tender process.

"We are planning to drive maximum savings over the next 12 months and were looking for a provider to help support this," said Iceland Foods GNFR buyer Nathan Davies. "Expotel were able to demonstrate this for us at every level throughout the process."

Expotel head of corporate, conference and event sales Jamie Gallagher added: "We are delighted to be working with the team at Iceland Foods. Although the industry is predicting a challenging year during 2009, our business is healthy and we are confident that 2009 will be a strong year for Expotel."

Iceland Foods has some 650 stores in the UK, with more outlets planned for 2009.
