Icca's UK & Ireland chapter is to focus on fighting the recession at its annual winter debate next month.

Taking place on 12-13 February at Copenhagen's Bella Centre and entitled ‘The Real Economy in 2009 - Beating the Crunch and Preparing for Growth', the debate, will include speakers from Virgin Atlantic Airways, Hilton Hotels, Radisson SAS, George P. Johnson and Wonderful Copenhagen.

Chapter chairman James Rees said: "The winter debate has become one of the events in the industry calendar, and this year, more than at any other time, it is important that we as an industry fully debate the issues we face to enable us to meet the many challenges that lay ahead".

In accordance with the theme of the debate, the chapter has negotiated discounted travel and accommodation to maximise the opportunity for people to attend.
