Club Asia Radio events manager Mandeep Nandra is to leave the station next month as it looks to put more focus on direct sales, rather than events to drive income.
"The way the market is, Club Asia, as a commercial station, is looking to drive revenue through sales," Nandra said.
"We are still on very good terms, and I was given the option of taking on more of a sales role, but I am looking for a pure marketing and events position."
Nandra - whose CV also includes time spent with ethnic marketing specialists Media Moguls - organised around 50 events annually for the London-based broadcaster.
She added that she is now looking for other corporate or consultancy roles, possibly with an employer "requiring specialist knowledge in ethnic marketing".
