The Best Western Premier Chantemerle will open in February as the first four-star deluxe hotel in Serre Chevalier, France.

The 51-bedroom property is located near ski lifts and 250km of slopes.

All rooms have outdoor balconies with mountain views. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, ski storeroom with lockers and boot drying system, a heated pool extending outdoors and a sauna.

The hotel is accessible from Turin, Grenoble and Lyon airports.

It is the first project by the developer Space Group.

Space Group sales director Claire Lacassagne said: "We recognise Serre Chevalier as a very unique destination - all the more so during the spring and summer."

The company has further launches planned for the Serre Chevalier area over the next year.
