EVENT: To increase effectiveness of its annual product launches, the software publisher holds a conference for its resellers to brief them on new products and update them on future plans.
DESTINATION DECISION: Marketing communications executive Heather Roberts, says that because the market is so competitive, it's vital that resellers are on board with products from the start, which means showcasing them in their best light at an event that is both educational and entertaining. To help achieve this blend, Roberts considered overseas venues for the first time and Spain's Portaventura resort south of Barcelona was chosen for the event, which ran from 5-7 June.
FEEDBACK: 100 per cent of resellers marked the event as good or excellent. "Overall, we managed to successfully combine the serious and the fun and were very happy with the results," says Roberts.
