Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi: C&I business boom

Hotel group Rotana forecasts that C&I business in its Abu Dhabi properties will double over the next two years.

The C&I market currently accounts for 14% of Rotana's business and it is anticipated to grow to 30% by the end of 2010.

Rotana executive vice president and chief operating officer Imad Elias said the forecast was based on anticipated demand for the hotels' events facilities backed by the results of destination marketing campaigns.

"Hosting exhibitions such as GIBTM assists hugely in the overall tourism development taking place and plays a major role in nurturing further growth in this sector," said Elias.

Rotana also forecasts that C&I business in Egypt will grow from 12% to 20% over the next two years.
