Trump International Golf Links welcomed by CVB

Aberdeen Convention Bureau hails business tourism offer for £1bn resort

Aberdeen Convention Bureau has welcomed this week's approval of the £1bn Trump International Golf Links resort.

"It is fantastic news for the region that the Trump Organisation's golf development is going ahead," said Aberdeen Convention Bureau business tourism manager Jacky Selway. "The resort will bring huge rewards to the area, including attracting a greater level of business tourism and creating some 6,000 jobs."

"In the increasingly challenging economic climate, the North-east remains strong largely due to the oil and gas sectors, but we cannot be complacent and should be looking at opportunities on new developments and sustainable growth in other business sectors."

Exact plans for the resort's meetings offer remained under wraps when C&IT contacted the resort earlier today.
