East Midlands Development Agency recruits former Welcome events manager

New role for Gasson kicks off with 'Masterclass' roadshows

The East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) has recruited former Welcome Financial Services events manager Natalie Gasson as corporate marketing officer.

"This was a great opportunity to join an organisation doing a huge amount to support both local businesses and overseas companies looking to invest in the region," Gasson said.

Gasson becomes part of a 16-strong communications team at EMDA and one of her first jobs is to run a series of business support events across the region.

The five one-day ‘Masterclass' events will take place in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, between the end of this month and 12 December - venues and dates are currently being finalised.

"There will be a series of interactive sessions with business experts providing a chance for one to one sessions with people you wouldn't normally get access to," Gasson said.

EMDA will also be using the roadshows to showcase a selection of its business support facilities, which have recently been rebranded.
