The eagerly awaited Atlantis, The Palm, in Dubai has opened its doors to its first customers.
 
The 1,539-room resort will be heavily targeting the C&I market. Its offer includes a 1,000sqm pre-function area with floor-to-ceiling views of The Royal Tower beach, the 630sqm Royal Terrace with capacity for 250 people, and the 2,100sqm Atlantis Ballroom, which can take up to 2,500 guests for receptions.
 
The £800m hotel, operated by Kerzner International, also boasts a giant open-air tank with 65,000 fish, stingrays and other sea creatures, a dolphinarium, and 16 restaurants, including four owned by celebrity chefs.
 
A range of accommodation is on offer at the resort - including Deluxe & Atlantis guest rooms, executive suites, terrace suites, regal suites, royal suites, and the £13,000 a night Presidential Suites three-bedroom, three-bathroom suite complete with gold-leaf 18-seat dining table.
