Global venue find specialist Helms Briscoe, has signed of a new agreement with Dubai-based ETA Ascon Group, which will result in 100 new Helms Briscoe associates in the thriving Middle East and India region and new office locations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and 23 offices throughout India.

The announcement comes on the heels of Helms Briscoe opening its first office in Japan and year to date revenue increases over last year of 20%. 2007 saw historic bookings of £333m in room revenue, which represents total meeting spend in excess of £537m according to the company's figures.

"This agreement will see the addition of 100 Helms Briscoe associates over the next several months and will strengthen the Helms Briscoe brand and services throughout this fast growing region," said Ian Quartermaine, managing director of Helms Briscoe's international division. "ETA Ascon is well-known and trusted and shares similar principles to Helms Briscoe. We will continue to aggressively pursue our international distribution plan by selecting the right people in the right locations."
