Starboard Hotels launches Burnley's first new hotel in nine years

Starboard Hotels' £7 million Holiday Inn Express Burnley has launched - the first new hotel in Burnley for nine years.

With 102 bedrooms, the property's offer also includes free wireless internet access throughout, complimentary continental breakfast plus four meeting rooms, accommodating up to 30 delegates.

"Holiday Inn Express is an instantly recognisable, global brand and we are proud to be working with Intercontinental Hotel Group on this venture," explained Starboard Hotels operations director Philip Houghton. "This is the first of a number of new hotels across the country, representing a total investment in excess of £50 million. We will be working with other established and well-known hotel brands on our future developments - including sites in Gateshead, Wetherby and Edgbaston."
