Venue finding and events brief for agency

BT: adds Zibrant to roster

Zibrant is the latest agency to be named on BT's much talked about events roster, which has seen a 130-strong pitch list taken down to 12 after six months.

The three-year contract kicks off on September 1 and sees Zibrant become a preferred supplier, alongside two other agencies, to run BT's venue finding, as well as joining the general events roster.

"We are delighted to have been chosen as a key supplier for BT, said Zibrant sales and marketing director Fay Sharpe. "The process was very thorough and this robust process allowed us to fully demonstrate our capabilities across a range of services and gave potential suppliers a completely fair playing field."

Zibrant joins agencies such as Mango Event Management and Adding Value on the BT roster. The size of the pitch list, the lengthy process involved and a cited lack of communication from BT drew criticism from several of the agencies involved and from industry trade body Eventia. BT spokesman Leslie King defended the process as "rigorous" and "professionally managed", when C&IT spoke to him in July.
