Agency adopters of the Eventia One Future initiative have taken action to counter the 431 tons of carbon they each generate annually.

Banks Sadler, BI, Grass Roots, Maritz, Skybridge, TFI Group, THA, Universal, and World Events signed up to the principles of Eventia's environmental sustainability initiative and audited their carbon emissions. An average of 431 tons of carbon was produced annually by each agency, which equates to 3.21 tons per employee.

To counter these emissions, 3,100 trees have so far been planted in Leicestershire and more than £2,500 has been donated to a solar power energy education programme.

Eventia's head of CSR Aileen Reuter said: "All the agencies are working hard to reduce emissions, and using the results of their carbon audits to drive focused actions to deliver measurable results. We hope to be able to see the concrete results of these changes through a follow-up audit later this year."
