New Vietnamese hotel among world's tallest

Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to build one of the world’s tallest hotels in Vietnam. The chain has partnered with a Korean property developer to construct the Intercontinental Hanoi Landmark across the upper floors of a 70-storey, 336m tower, which is projected to be among the 20 tallest buildings in the world. Slated to open in 2011, the hotel will offer 383 rooms and suites and 300 serviced residences. A meetings centre and outdoor event space surrounding a large swimming pool will also be on offer. The Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower, in which the hotel will be situated, will be part of a 46,000sqm mixed used complex located near the National Convention Centre.
