Park Plaza Hotels to double room tally

Park Plaza Hotels is projected to double its room tally to more than 13,200 by 2012. The group’s room count will be boosted by hotel development and management contracts in the UK, Croatia and Russia that it has recently signed. Among the new additions planned is an Art’otel in Hoxton, London, which will include an art gallery. Up to 4,000 rooms will come out of a planned 15-20 new hotels scheduled to be built in Russia. Some of them will be located in Moscow and St Petersburg. Park Plaza Hotels has also signed management contracts for properties in Croatia, at least one of which is situated on the Istrian coast.
