Final call for agency student survey input

Agency leaders are being urged to have their say in what promises to be the largest event graduate survey to date. The Student vs. Employer, Expectation vs. Reality being led by Parrimark Technology and backed by C&IT magazine is questioning current event students, recent graduates and agency heads. C&IT is handling the agency research, designed to establish the latest trends amongst agencies in relation to event graduates. Those interested have until noon this Friday (23 May) to take part and can either click the above link or paste the following URL into their browser http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=9jBtcp0GBvGNqvkOB0ZUZQ_3d_3d. Elsewhere, the survey will question students and recent graduates, with the overall aim of establishing the gap between undergraduates perceptions of the events industry and the reality. The survey asks a series of questions relating to both parties expectations of industry working hours, travel, salary and where the skills gaps are for graduates entering the industry from an employers perspective. “The results will allow the TPTP Forum to develop guidelines for employers which will help them provide the correct advice, support and education for new joiners,” said Parrimark Technology chief executive Michael Scroop. “The guidelines will aim to ensure we attract and maintain the best new talent to our industry.” As well as Scroop, the TPTP forum is made up of leaders from across the industry including Westminster University senior lecturer Rob Davidson, Confex Group event director Duncan Reid, Twickenham Experience sales and marketing manager Kevin Maxwell and Novotel London West General Manager Michael Slone.
