BSI wins new XPS and EIA deals

Purchasing company Xchanging Procurement Services (XPS) has renewed its contract with accommodation and events specialist BSI for a further three years, naming it as preferred agency for hotels, conference, meeting and events services. Since BSI’s initial contract with XPS in 2003 its remit has grown from providing transient accommodation services for the company’s customers, to expanding the account in 2005 by successfully winning the tender for conference and venue finding services. “We have built up a strong working relationship with XPS over the last five years, and are delighted that they have decided to extend our contract,” said BSI managing director Charles Cockell. “We are committed to delivering results in line with their high expectations and have already started working with them to secure the best possible venues and hotel space for the year ahead.” XPS head of travel services Corin McGrath added: “As a specialist provider, BSI fits seamlessly with our air and rail agent to provide customers with a world class solution.” Meanwhile, the Events Industry Alliance (EIA) has also formed a partnership with BSI to provide accommodation, meeting, conferences and events booking services to the trade association’s in-house staff and 400 member companies. The deal sees BSI deliver a transient accommodation booking service, with EIA members able to access BSI online self-booking tool, offering access to 85,000 international properties.
